What started as a stock instrument eventually became one of the most sonically diverse Les Pauls in the world through a series of custom modifications. Desiring to achieve the full tonal range of the humbucker pickups, Page designed a switching system for coil splitting, series/parallel, and phase-reverse options for both pickups with push/pull pots on the volume and tone knobs along with push buttons underneath the pickguard.This 2010 Custom Shop Reissue is a meticulous recreation, inside and out, of Jimmy's original that can be heard on so many of Led Zepplin's albums from the mid 70's onward. The condition of this guitar is immaculate with the only markings coming from the Gibson factory itself.
